The suburban town of Acton was founded in 1735 and is located in the Middlesex County which is northwest of Boston. Although a small community Acton has retained its rural New England qualities despite the population more than tripling in the past thirty years.

Visitors can take advantage of the various historic sites in Acton such as the preserved Hosmer and Faulkner Houses and the Orchard House - a Fruitlands Museum. You will find a traditional town center with historic architecture and stone walls as well as the Walden and the Minuteman National Historical Park.

The town also includes a wide verity of beautiful and carefully maintained Conservation Lands that attract countless people during the year along with encompass over 1650 acres of protected territory. All together there are 21 Conservation areas including the locations in Acton.

Acton offers a large list of services to its residents that include an active town government with a nationally accredited police department and a full time fire department. The local district school system has been ranked among the top in the state.
